Frequently Asked Questions

Most inquiries get a same-day response during business hours, and next-business-day at the latest. If your project has a hard timeline or a specific shoot date, mention it in the first message — those get prioritized for a same-day reply regardless of when they come in.

No. Half the projects Film Revolutions produces start with "we know we need video, we're not sure exactly what" — that's a normal starting point, not a problem. The intake call handles the shape of the project: what you're trying to accomplish, who it's for, and how it'll be used. From there, we scope specifics.

Every project scopes differently — a single-camera testimonial and a multi-day live event have almost nothing in common except that they're both "video." Rather than publish rates that don't apply to your specific project, Film Revolutions gives a fixed proposal after the intake call based on what your project actually requires. No surprise line items. No hourly billing that runs past estimate.

Film Revolutions is based in Pittsburgh and travels nationwide. NCAA championship coverage, ministry conferences, and corporate engagements have taken the crew across the country and to feature-documentary festivals. Distance isn't the blocker — the project has to justify travel and lodging in the scope, and it usually does.

Timeline depends entirely on project type. A live event is captured on a single date and delivered within days. A corporate testimonial runs 2–4 weeks from shoot to delivery. A feature documentary is a 6–18 month engagement. The intake call sets a realistic timeline for your specific project — we don't quote generic turnaround windows because they mislead more than they help.

Bring what you know and don't stress about what you don't. Useful, when you have it: the goal of the video, who it's for, where it'll be used (site, social, broadcast, event), any hard deadlines, and budget range if you have one. If you don't have budget clarity, that's fine — we can help you calibrate what different production tiers cost so you can decide.
